CBU: St Petersburg – the power of prayer

Last update from the team in St Petersburg: It is hard to believe our last day in country is tomorrow! This week has been one of incredible breakthroughs with teams, the power of prayer in action. Our team had the opportunity to share their story of faith multiple times with the teens and children. Knowing that we might not see an individual the next day spurred our urgency to share truth, and God was faithful to give us the opportunity to share! Our week of ministry ended with celebrations at the Transit Center. We had planned a Discoteca, but instead, … Continue reading

CBU: Novgorod – last day in the city

Last update from the team in Novgorod: Tonight is a night of celebration for our team as we reflect on the joys and trials that we have face in the past three weeks here in Russia. CBU: A day of rest!

Update from CBU A team: Today has been a day of rest and recharging! How awesome it was to worship at Calvary Chapel with other believers! Although we missed our heart language during worship, it was beautiful to hear voices raised in worship, in a foreign place! The message was translated into English, and spoke so directly to each one of us. We read from Mark 16, the Great Commission! The afternoon was spent at Tanya Mendakoff’s home. She served us a wonderful lunch of traditional Borscht. It was delicious. Then we traversed to the park where we spent an … Continue reading

Intern: Goodbye St Pete, hello Novgorod!

An update from our Intern, Amanda: It’s such a blessing to be back in the country that means so much to me! I’m so thankful that my flights went smoothly and I arrived here healthy! My first few days have been wonderful! I have been staying in Saint Petersburg and visiting the transit center. Jet lag hit me harder this year than last year, but I’m hoping to get adjusted to the time difference soon! I am learning how to get around in the city and have almost mastered the Metro, which is a big deal for someone who lives … Continue reading
