An update from our Intern, Amanda: It’s such a blessing to be back in the country that means so much to me! I’m so thankful that my flights went smoothly and I arrived here healthy! My first few days have been wonderful! I have been staying in Saint Petersburg and visiting the transit center. Jet lag hit me harder this year than last year, but I’m hoping to get adjusted to the time difference soon! Tomorrow our Intern for the summer, Amanda Collins, arrives to serve alongside SunErgos. She will be working at all of our ministry locations, experiencing first hand the scope of our work. So it has been quite a while since I last updated you all about how things are going here in Russia–two and a half weeks to be exact–I have been quite busy here, but the following is just a bit about what I have been doing since you last heard from me! The week after my last update I spent helping to prepare the church here in Novgorod for the new teams that would be arriving. This week, since the first 2 teams left, has gone by quickly, but has been pretty full as well! Throughout the week I have been staying with a friend, Vanya, and have been so blessed to get to know his family. During down time I study up more on my Russian (though I am learning a lot simply by living here!), or just use the time to have quiet time and refill.
