CBU and Vanguard: First day in Russia!

We are back to training! The first day of training for the CBU and Vanguard teams has finished and the teams are all sleeping soundly after their first full day in Russia. Vanguard: And they have arrived!

Vanguard Team has arrived!  They are partnering with SunErgos to lead a 2 week camp at a TB Children Center in Novgorod. They had a delayed flight coming out of LA, which caused a missed connection in Moscow. All of their luggage made it with them and they are excited to finally be home! Well, their home for 3 weeks at least! After long travels, they are on their way to their place of housing to get the sleep that each one craves! Thank you everyone for your prayers! CBU: Team three has arrived!

A third team from California Baptist University has just arrived to lead our June camp in St Petersburg! Even though one suitcase is in transit, they are excited to finally be in Russia! And, after long travels, they are finally getting some long awaited rest and soon going to sleep!  Remember, it is 11 hours difference from their home, California, to St Petersburg time. Intern update: a week of rest and new friendships

This week, since the first 2 teams left, has gone by quickly, but has been pretty full as well! Throughout the week I have been staying with a friend, Vanya, and have been so blessed to get to know his family. During down time I study up more on my Russian (though I am learning a lot simply by living here!), or just use the time to have quiet time and refill. CBU: The teams are on their way home!

You can track their progress on the Lufthansa website, here.   Their first flight is: LH 1462.  Then their second flight is:  LH 456. Make sure to enter the date of May 29th, 2012. (Or a live website where the plane moves as you watch!)
