CBU: The last days of training

An update from CBU Russia Team A: Incredible as it may seem, we have already been in St. Petersburg for 4 days! Our journey to Russia was uneventful! We were blessed to spend an afternoon in Heidelberg, Germany-tasting the local German food and enjoying the beautiful sights of the college town. We landed late at night in St. Petersburg, with most of our luggage! Kayla’s guitar however, did not arrive. We spent the next two hours filing paperwork to try to locate the lost guitar. CBU: First Teams have arrived!

Our first 2 teams have arrived!  After long travels, they are on their way home to get some long awaited sleep! Thank you everyone for your prayers! I can’t believe it’s already been 3 months! I just helped finish my first international grant proposal with EVA. I’m learning more and more about my abilities and contributions with the NGO … Continue reading

Interns: Saying goodbye…

She invited us to her house for pancakes or blini as they are called in Russia. We sat for hours drinking tea, eating watermelon and Blini, and talking about God and the kids at the center. It was an amazing conversation with an amazing woman but it was also difficult. We heard a lot of the kids’ stories; and they come from very difficult circumstances. Prayers … Continue reading
