Interns: Back in the city

We just got back from our second session of camp and feel so blessed to have been a part of something so amazing. This week we worked with a 9 year old boy with autism and he stole our hearts. We were convinced by the fifth day that we were taking him back to America with us. This week was more difficult than the last because of the weather and our boy. SPU: Holding babies…

Hello again friends and family! We are so happy to be able to update you again with how God is working in Russia. Below is our own personal reflection on the last few days at the HIV Baby Orphanage. SPU: The final team for the summer has arrived!

The team from Seattle Pacific University has arrived and is sleeping after their long flight. Everything is well and their luggage arrived on time; an important fact when traveling internationally. Tomorrow they start the 3 days of training, learning about history, culture and the Russian language. Please pray for the team as they get used to the 11 hour time change, for safety and for health. You may leave your comments and words of encouragement for the team. They will be read daily.

As well spoiling us with Russian treats, tea, and love. We also recently found out that we actually will have a translator … Continue reading

Coming into this summer I had a lot of different opportunities that came my way, and a lot of things that threatened to keep me from traveling to Russia. There was the difficulty in raising funds, the worry about not having a job when I return, and the fact that I had a … Continue reading
