June 1st is International Children’s Day! Different countries celebrate their children by putting on entertainment for kids, various concerts and fairs.

Each year, on June 1st, the Palace Square in Saint Petersburg is full with kids playing games, listening to a concert, receiving presents and celebrating.

Various orphanages in the city are invited to come and participate in the celebration. SunErgos partners with one of the orphanages and takes the kids to enjoy the festivities.

In 2009 we had 2 ministry teams that enabled us to take more kids to celebrate.

One of the kids that year was a 12-year-old boy who captured everyone’s heart with his kindness and contagious smile.

Recently, we reconnected with him and found out that he was transferred to a different orphanage right after that summer. It has been great to see the little boy mature to a very serious young man.

God has been doing wonderful things in his life, leading him to make the right choices in life.
