News from the Vanguard team!

This past week has been life changing spending time with all these precious children. We have spent hours playing all kinds of games with them, talking one on one with everyone, teaching them about God and just being with them and loving them.

They have opened up so much and connected with us in so many ways. We are their role models and they look up to us. They love playing outside no matter what the games are and they are very active. We have taught them games and life lessons but they have taught us more about life than we ever thought possible. These kids have so much to offer and they truly care about one another.

We walk into the TB Children Center everyday and we are greeted with hugs, smiles, and just pure love. They listen to us and they honestly care about what we are teaching them. We are lucky to be spending time with them and watching them grow.

Hearing their stories has brought tears to our eyes and put more love in our hearts for each and every one of them. It will be very hard to leave them but we will never forget the time we have spent with these kids. It has been a great blessing spending time with them and seeing their love for us grow daily.

We bought gifts for the Children Center and they are so thankful and grateful.

We have never felt so much joy from kids that are broken and sad inside. They are so positive about life and we will all walk away better people because of them.

    Dear team,
It is always life changing to be with others who have so little and who yet are still open to receive. Those who live in plenty have a much harder time entering into the truth of who Christ is than those who have little. Pouring the love of Christ into these children and teens will indeed produce fruit for His kingdom. I know that they will never be far from your hearts, and therefore will be kept before the Lord in intercession as the challenges of their lives continue.
May you never forget all that Jesus has shown you, may you never loose all that He has birthed in you during this time.
Your re-entry into “home” may be bumpy…some will understand the depth of your experience, others will not. Process with each other and with those who are able to relate to you. There is yet much that the Lord will reveal to you all in the weeks to come. His heart is towards you, He is greatly pleased that you chose to be His vessels to “the least of these.”
    En Agape,
    Bonnie
