CBU: The last days of training

An update from CBU Russia Team A: Incredible as it may seem, we have already been in St. Petersburg for 4 days! Our journey to Russia was uneventful! We were blessed to spend an afternoon in Heidelberg, Germany-tasting the local German food and enjoying the beautiful sights of the college town. CBU: Orientation and exploring the city.

The first day of training has finished and the teams are getting ready to get some sleep after a long day! The teams send their greetings to friends and family from Saint Petersburg! They are excited to be finally in Russia, after such a long time of preparation for their trip. On the first day of training the teams went through an orientation where they found out the “dos and don’ts” of living in Russia and their role within SunErgos ministry! CBU: First Teams have arrived!

Our first 2 teams have arrived!  After long travels, they are on their way home to get some long awaited sleep! Thank you everyone for your prayers! Please continue to pray for the teams from CBU as they go through a 3 day training, learning about Russian history and culture, and memorizing some Russian words! The training empowers the teams to serve even better throughout the camps this month. Summer Camps 2013!

It is that time of year once again! Even though the trees are just starting to sprout, our summer Camps are about to start in Russia! This year, from May to September, SunErgos will host six camps for orphans and street kids in Russia! With the help of four ministry teams and one Intern, hundreds of children will experience hope, love and grace. Interns: Three months in Russia!

Since January, two interns have been living in Saint Petersburg waiting for an orphanage to open its doors to Americans. While they wait, Natalie and Gia have not been idle with their time. A local NGO has kept them busy with empowering Russian women on how to live with HIV. Here is an update from Natalie as she looks back on the last 3 months living in Russia.
