CBU: Second Day of Training

What a long day! Second day of training is finished and the team is getting some much needed rest! The day started out with learning about the rich Russian history! So much to share in just a few hours! By now they are all experts in Russian history! So, when they get home, make sure to ask them about some of the important people in Russian history. Along with the country’s history, the team found out that St Petersburg during WWII, then Leningrad, was under a 900 day blockade by the Germans. CBU: First day of Training

The first day of training has finished and the teams are getting ready to wake up for the second one! The teams send their greetings to friends and family from Saint Petersburg, Russia! They are excited to be finally in Russia, after such a long time of preparation for their trip. CBU: Two teams from California Baptist University have arrived!

Our first 2 teams have arrived!  After long travels, they are on their way to their place of housing to get some long awaited sleep! Thank you everyone for your prayers! Please continue to pray for the 2 teams from California Baptist University as they go through a 3 day training, learning about Russian history and culture, and memorizing some Russian words! The training empowers the teams to serve even better throughout the camps this month. CBU – St Petersburg: We left with tears in our eyes…

Well another week has gone by so quickly and our team has had a wonderful time with the orphans at camp. We have had opportunities to share about God, heaven, and the love of Jesus in many personal ways. Kayla and Brooke led the lesson on listening and talked about Noah. The children were able to make an ark and had lots of fun with animals. Beth and Analeisha led the lesson on obedience and Tawni and Hannah led the lesson about faith and forgiveness. CBU-Novgorod: Saying goodbye…

So today was our last day with the kids and teens from the orphanage. It’s hard to pinpoint exact feelings but all we can say is that it has been an amazing experience. Over these past few weeks, we have grown closer as a team, as well as with the kids we have been working with. From playing games with the young ones and teaching them valuable lessons, to having in-depth discussions with the teens about grace and the meaning of life.
