Intern: Witnessing different types of ministry

An update from our summer intern in Novgorod: Hello everyone, I want to start off by saying thank you for all of your prayers and support! Monday I traveled from Saint Petersburg to Novgorod, a city that is so near to my heart. After settling in, I was reunited with some very dear sisters in Christ that I had missed so much this past year! It was such a blessing to see old friends and hear about what God has been doing in their lives! They had spent time in other countries this past year doing ministry and it was … Continue reading

CBU: Novgorod – last day in the city

Last update from the team in Novgorod: Tonight is a night of celebration for our team as we reflect on the joys and trials that we have face in the past three weeks here in Russia. Our team is joyous in moving forward back to America, knowing that Christ will continue the work that He has started here. Our final day with our children and teens was spent in celebration, handing out gifts and Bibles, assuring these sweet people that they are loved and will not be forgotten. CBU: Novgorod – the final stretch!

An update from Novgorod: We cannot believe that we only have a week left here in Russia! The Lord has been so faithful to us as we are serving Him here and we are so thankful! Our children’s team has been able to continue planting Gospel seeds through storytelling and crafts. Many of the children know about the Bible and Jesus, but we are not sure of their salvation. Please pray … Continue reading

CBU: News from Novgorod

Another update from the CBU team in Novgorod: I (Kristi) am pleased to tell you that our team has survived (and thrived) in our first week of minsitry in the transit centers here in Novgorod. In just one week, we have already learned so many of the stories of these children, and it burdens our hearts to labor even harder in order to share/plant seeds of the Gospel. So many of these children and teenagers come from unfathomable backgrounds, and our team has begun to feel the emotional repurcusions of this ministry. Please pray that we would continue to press … Continue reading

Right after the Christmas celebration, our Novgorod Director, Marina, made sure the kids in the only unofficial orphanage in Novgorod really knew the meaning of Christmas. Once again there was singing, dancing, sharing the Nativity story and giving out presents!  This orphanage is divided into three sections: preschoolers, elementary and High School.  Each group of kids received their presents and had a celebration of their … Continue reading
