It’s Shannon! I am doing really well and cannot wait to go back to camp tomorrow (Monday), but am so glad I was able to get some rest these past few days back in the city. I also got to do a bunch of laundry since everything was sandy and smelled like campfire. It was hard to say goodbye to the kids, but it was so good to see that so many of them had such good families to go home to since Savannah and I rode home in the van with some of the kids. I can’t wait to meet these new kids and know that I have so much more to learn about loving wholeheartedly and unconditionally as well as finding joy in the simplest things. I truly feel that these kids give me so much more than I will ever be able to give them. Here are some more pictures from the last session since we did not get them all up last time!

It’ Savannah! I am so excited to get back to camp tomorrow and start being with the kids again. Saying goodbye was hard to do last camp session because I fell in love with every beautiful child at the camp and never wanted to leave them. But when they got out of the vans their parents were awaiting them with huge smiles and it made me so happy to see that a lot of them were going to a good home. This camp definitely took me out of my comfort zone but every day I got more and more used to it and more and more passionate about every child there. They truly are amazing creations by God. They love unconditionally like I have never seen before, they are happy at the simplest things, and they are such amazing characters, always bringing me laughter. They taught me so much and became such huge blessings in my life. I cannot wait to see what God has in store for the next camp session. I miss you all and thank you so much for your support and prayers. Please keep praying for good weather! Thank you so much.
