That is what the California Baptist University has been doing their first few days. Learning Russian history, becoming experts on the Russian people and learning how to read the signs in the underground metro.
On their second day of training they went in pairs to an orthodox church. Learning how to get there and ask information in Russian about the church’s history. Some came back with printouts, others came back with just finding out the date it was built. But all of them came back energized, excited and confident in their abilities to find their way in a place that is foreign to them and speaks a different language. 🙂
Today we finish the last day of training, then starts a 2 week camp at an orphanage for runaways and street kids. Pray for the team as they prepare their program and get to know the kids and teens.
Please leave your comments and words of encouragement and we will pass it on to the CBU team.
Going out to do their assignment in pairs!
