CBU: First day of Training

The first day of training has finished and the teams are getting ready to wake up for the second one! The teams send their greetings to friends and family from Saint Petersburg, Russia! They are excited to be finally in Russia, after such a long time of preparation for their trip. CBU: Two teams from California Baptist University have arrived!

Our first 2 teams have arrived!  After long travels, they are on their way to their place of housing to get some long awaited sleep! Thank you everyone for your prayers! Please continue to pray for the 2 teams from California Baptist University as they go through a 3 day training, learning about Russian history and culture, and memorizing some Russian words! Our Intern has arrived!

Our Intern, Sean Stiles, has arrived in Saint Petersburg! He is excited to be back in Russia, even though his luggage did not make the arrival.  Hopefully, it will arrive within a few days.  Thank you everyone for praying for his safe travels! Sean will help with the training of our first 2 teams that will arrive later today.  Then he will head off to Novgorod to assist SunErgos staff and the CBU team with the camp at the orphanage. Happy Birthday SunErgos!

We have just celebrated 9 years in ministry! Thank you to everyone who have participated in sharing, giving and going! Because of YOU, we have served the fatherless, the widow and the poor in Russia for nine years! We are excited for our 10th year! This summer SunErgos will host 5 teams from various Universities in the USA. Almost 60 volunteers will join us for summer camps with kids who are orphaned, infected with TB/HIV and/or disabled. Finishing up Christmas in Russia!

Did you know that the Russian people celebrate Christmas on January 7th? So, if you enter a home in Russia right now, you might still see a Christmas tree still standing decorated and in lights. Right after the Christmas celebration, our Novgorod Director, Marina, made sure the kids in the only unofficial orphanage in Novgorod really knew the meaning of Christmas.
