King's H.S. – halfway…

Update by 2 team members! 🙂

Today we took the metro to the Hermitage Museum. The metro was extremely crowded and we literally could not move inside. One of the team members made a new friend on the metro.

The Hermitage was amazing and we even got to see The Prodigal Son (Mrs. Warren was sitting on the floor staring at it forever). As most of you already know, we got to go on Facebook and/or email; which made everyone very excited!!

All of the children at the transit center were very thrilled to see all of us return again today. Jazmine taught the teenage girls a dance to “Single Ladies” by Beyoncé (Pam filmed it for whoever would like to see/laugh at the dance routine later). The teenage boys made leather checkerboards and they turned out fantastic which made Fred feel “relieved.” Mrs. Warren did hair wraps in the ecstatic little girls’ hair. The kids also finished off the day with a variety of different crafts. Quinn and Karleigh also played an intense game of Go Fish with two little boys.

We ended the day with a good devotion by Fred and nice little chats with Tatiana. 🙂

Sorry if this blog isn’t as up to par as Mrs. Warren’s blogging the other day. Love, sleep deprived Helle and Anna

    Hi all,
Thanks for the pictures and for staying up late to give us an update. I have another question. What about all the other kids at the transit station? There must be a lot more than you’re able to work with. Do they feel left out? Will “your” kids share what you’ve shown them with others?
You’re not missing any outdoor fun in Seattle: just rain and wind.
Keep dancing and be blessed! Mrs. Wall

Thank you all for continuing to send information. I was so sorry to hear that 2 of the teen boys did not want to leave and return “home”. I will pray that they will continue to feel God’s love from another source wherever they have gone. Keep up the good work for our Lord. Very much love to Kierney from Mom.

  3. Kim Taylor says:

LOVE the updates and the pictures you guys are posting. So good to hear that God is blessing your time there. I am praying for all of the kids experiencing Jesus through you and that they will know that Jesus wants to continue to pursue them even after you are gone. Thanks for giving your time to share God’s love and giving those kids hope.

Love and hugs to Christian who we miss very much!

The Prodigal Son, wow! Hope you’re all taking lots of pictures!!! Hope you’re getting some sleep so you’re well rested while pouring out to the kids! Praying for all the chaperones too, I can only imagine how emotionally exhausting this must be. Treasure the moments of your last few days there.
Karleigh – thank you for all your messages! We are all so excited to hear from you. We love you and miss you!
Karz n Helle: You will have your phones soon enough, haha! I will be on time (like Heidi) and can’t wait for hugs and stories!
Bless you all, may God fill you up so you can pour out His love.

    Dear Russia team,
We’re praying Is. 40:28-31 for you all today . . . “The everlasting God, the Creator of the ends of the earth, neither faints nor is weary. . . those who wait on the Lord shall renew their strength; they shall mount up with wings like eagles, they shall run and not be weary, they shall walk and not faint.” Praying for God’s strength, patience, love, endurance for each of you as you wait on Him!

Amy, thanks for the email! I hope you’re getting these blog messages, because I didn’t send you an email message. Loved the picture of you girls with the teen girls! Can hardly wait to see Michael’s picture–your “Ebenezer.” I’ll call CBU in the morning to get your registration date! And Natalie asks if you could bring her a postcard from Russia–not send it, just buy one to bring home for her. I said I’d ask. Dad & I miss you and love you soooo much! Mom

Danny, hope is all going well for you and your team as you work with the younger kids. I’m praying that your actions and love will reach across the language barrier. We’ll be praying as you do “King of Hearts”–that the message of God’s transforming love will be clear! Dad & I are driving to Portland tomorrow to see Grandpa and Aunt Mary, but we’ll check the blog daily down there. Hope you are getting some sleep–we’re praying, praying, praying. We miss you and love you lots! Mom & Dad

Sounds like your days are very full; think of you all the time! May the Lord continue to guide your footsteps and give you the just the right way to show His love and to care for His Russian kids. I also pray that you will know how much He cares for each of you from Kings!

Anna ~ thank you so very much for the email!!!! It made my day & week to hear from you. Thank you too, for writing the blog this time. If you checked FB, you saw I even figured out how to post a Russia picture! I love you so much, miss you and I am so proud of you. xoxox Mom
