That is what the TWU team did today! The four students spent the whole day at an HIV Baby orphanage, playing with preschoolers and making babies smile. The kids tired out our students, but they came home filled with stories and smiles. A full day of giving to those that have no family; kids that are outcasts in society. This week the TWU team will spend each day at this orphanage, sharing love and laughter with the kids.
In addition to having a first day at the orphanage, the TWU team moved into their new apartment! The first few days each one spent with a Russian host family, experiencing Russian culture first hand. Each one had an amazing experience with their hosts. Yet they are excited to be united as a team, being able to share their daily experiences with each other.
If you know the Trinity Western University team, leave a comment and we will make sure that they receive your greetings and encouragement.
Adi, Frankie, Alejandra, and Joy,
Hi everyone – hope you are all well! We’ve been following the Sunergos blog. We saw the note on Friday evening about your safe arrival and knew that all was well. Now today I see that you celebrated Victory Day and have spent the day at the HIV orphanage. Looks like you will be in that orphanage all week. Hope you are enjoying the new apartment and being together again. I trust you are getting over jetlag, enjoying your time as a team, and are excited about your first day at the orphanage today. We are praying for you several times a day.
Blessings to all of you,
Tim & Marcia Sherman
Hey guys,
It was great to see your smiling faces on the blog…IF you made it to Russia! 🙂
You’re in my prayers. Can’t wait to hear the stories you’re collecting already!
Have fun–

For Alejandra, Frankie, Adi, and Joy,
Heavenly Father, Lord God Almighty, Alpha and Omega, You are One, our God Who was and IS and is to come.
We thank You that You are ever-present, always available in the present, that You never leave us or forsake us.
We come to You in thanksgiving today because You are Who You say You are, Your Word is life, You are truth and You keep Your promises. I thank You for the safe passage for these four young people willing to give of themselves and willingly put themselves in a position to be used and be changed by You!
I thank You for preparing the Way for them. Thank You that Your Spirit is in them and Your Word is alive and active in them causing them to be energized by Your spirit alone not their circumstances. Thank You that You are teaching them about Your perfect Love through ministering to Your little ones because it is Your perfect Love that cast out fear. Thank You that You are empowering them through their obedience to serve You because it is Your blessing through obedience that releases the strong holds of self. Thank You that everyday they walk, move, rest, act and rise in the strength of Your Spirit, the spirit of wisdom, revelation and understanding to bring light into the darkness and life where there is no life.
Thank You that because of the Cross You have made them victorious overcomers – it is the joy of the Lord that is their strength. Thank You that as they move out in faith and see changes manifest, they will see and know it is
only because You are showing Yourself faithful despite their work not because of their work; that all they are and all they do is because of WHOSE they are! For Thine is the Kingdom and the glory and the honor and the victory and the majesty forever and ever. Thank You for hiding them in the secret place of the most high and covering them in Your blood which protects them. They are hid with Christ in You!! You are Holy, Holy Lord. As I place each of these dear young people on Your altar of thankgiving today, I ask for You to comfort them as they lay their heads upon their pillows and speak to them about their glorious destiny in You and the inheritance You have prepared for each one since the foundations of the earth! Thy Kingdom come, Thy Will be done. As in heaven so on earth, in the mighty delivering Name of Jesus! Amen.
I am so proud of all of you!
