Last update from the team in Novgorod:
Tonight is a night of celebration for our team as we reflect on the joys and trials that we have face in the past three weeks here in Russia. Our team is joyous in moving forward back to America, knowing that Christ will continue the work that He has started here.
Our final day with our children and teens was spent in celebration, handing out gifts and Bibles, assuring these sweet people that they are loved and will not be forgotten. The transit center was overwhelmed by the outpouring of love and thankfulness, just as we were overwhelmed by their service and love. Although emotional, the girls have pressed forward, understanding the sovereignty of God and recognizing the seeds planted within the last two weeks of our ministry will be further watered. We are truly thankful to be invited to take part in God’s global agenda.
We are sad to leave yet we know that we are each coming home to loving families and friends, and we are very excited to reunite with each and every one of you. Please pray for us tonight as it will be our last sleep before a long day spent travelling back to our base city, attending the Russian ballet and fitting in some last minute sight-seeing. We will be travelling directly to the airport after this full day, so please pray for strength to finish the day and board the plane back home.
Naturally, we appreciate prayer for travelling mercies and safety. We are so thankful for your prayers, as they have been felt throughout this entire service project.
See you soon!
In Him, Kristi and Russia B
