King's H.S.- building friendships with the kids and teens!

Greetings, from Russia at 10:48 pm, as we finish packing all the presents for the kids.

Today was amazing in the transit center! It started off with a mimed skit called “King of Hearts” showing the masks each of us wear and the ability Jesus has to take away those masks. A lot of the kids enjoyed the skit as they could identify themselves with those characters.

In the teenage boys group, Randall gave his personal testimony. They all shared about their home life and talked about the future, making meaningful connections within the group. Amongst the teenage girls, a few of the girls opened up to some of us with heartbreaking stories. Tomorrow, I, (Jazmine) will be sharing a personal testimony with a few of the girls as well and I’m really excited/slightly nervous about it.

As for the adorable little kids, they did face painting and all the kids were transformed into  butterflies and super heroes!

Please keep the team in your prayers, especially for tomorrow as it is the last day with the kids. 🙁  Thank you all for the support and prayer. Your support and constant prayer is very much appreciated. This has been a successful mission trip that created lasting relationships.

you all are about to get up ….I think….do you leave Sunday or Monday & get home Monday….I get very confused…I feel nauseated but, I do not think I am PG…I think it was after I ate the chicken salad. Can hardly wait to hear all of the testimonies, your feelings about what the Lord has done in each of you & the children… Mark is in Chicago so no Mark tomorrow. The way I feel now I will probably be home.
We actually got quite a few sun breaks today…but, also, hail, rain & of course those flat, many shades of grey clouds….I wish I could say puffy white clouds & warm as in Hawaii…but, not. Andy Paul took off this morning for Maui…Love & continued prayers for the final hours & the hours home. Love & hugs & a big wet one for my fav!

Enjoy every last moment there! Thank you again for all the updates and pictures – they are so precious to us back home wondering what you’re up to and what it’s like where you are. I think it’s early Sunday morning there… will be praying for all of you on your last day with the kids.

Safe travels to all of you. Karz ~ pack lightly! : ) Remember your vitamins and jet lag stuff. (Helle too) Praying you all get some sleep tonight and on the long flight home. We’re excited for your homecoming, counting down the hours. Can’t wait to see you!

Praying that your last day is blessed…enjoy it and love on those kids. Christian leave behind any of your personal stuff that you want if any of the teen boys can use it.

We will be praying for safe travels home. God’s best to all of you!

Jazmine, we’ll be praying for you as you share your testimony tomorrow. God will give you the words to share! We’re glad to hear that kids responded to “the King of Hearts” and were able to relate to its message.

Hope that you all have a good last day with the kids on Sunday, that you’ll be able to let each one know how special they are–to you and to God.

Amy & Danny, we are so looking forward to seeing you on Monday and hearing your stories. Praying for your last visit with the kids, and for safety (and some sleep!) as you travel home. Much love, Mom & Dad
