Today we experienced Russia! The snow, the ice, the wind, the drivers, the underground metro and the beauty of St Petersburg!
We started with learning about the Russian culture, which will help us to relate to the kids a little better. π Then we found out what to do and what not do! Being told that pedestrians do not have the right of way is one thing, but experiencing it first hand was another! π Learning about the underground metro and then riding it for the first time! Amazing and fun! AndΒ a bit scary. π
We went to see Peter and Paul Fortress where Peter the Great started the city over 300 years ago. We saw where the Tsars were buried and where the political prisoners were incarcerated.Β It was snowing and cold, but we had fun walking around and actually had a snow ball fight. π
Tonight we met our interpreters and got ready for our first day tomorrow. We are excited to meet the kids and teens at the Transit Center! Please pray for our team, because the first day is always hard.
Thank you for all the comments! Everyone gets to read them and see that you send your love and prayers! Keep the comments coming! π
All of you are in our prayers. The team of supporters here are excited to see your pictures and posts!

Thanks for the pictures and update -looks like a happy crew! Enjoy the kids tomorrow and know that you are all in our prayers. We know that Matthew is enjoying the snow even though he couldn’t bring his skis!
Our best wishes to all of you for a wonderful opportunity to share what is special to you with young people that are so much in need of knowing they are loved- by you, and by our Heavenly Father. For those without a father on earth to love them and guide them, what a great gift to know that they have a Heavenly Father who cares about them, knows them by name, and will always be there for them. God bless all of you from the High School, Tatiana, Mikhail, and all who are helping this wonderful ministry! You are all in our prayers.
Love the pictures! We are praying the Lord will give you the creativity, wisdom and energy you need while you are with those you meet.
Joshua 1:9 Be strong and courageous…the Lord will go with you wherever you go.
Hugs to Anna from Mom & Auntie Lynn.
