At eighteen years old, an orphan, graduates out of an orphanage and is left to fend for himself.Five out of ten immediately fall into high risk situations such as prostitution. Four out of ten become criminals. Four out of ten become alcohol/drug addicts. One out of ten commit suicide. Only one out of ten to create a life for himself after leaving the orphanage.
This matters to us because we believe God intended children to grow up in a healthy, nurturing environment. So often orphans feel like a statistic in the system, just a number that the state needs to support. Our hope is to help every child realize that his life matters and is precious in the eyes of God.
