Russian Street Children<\/a> – Click to Watch the video.<\/p>\n Misha’s Story<\/em><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n A boy runs away from the orphanage, just to make soup for his mother.<\/em><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n <\/em><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n Black rubber shoes, a few sizes too big, dusty feet, gray shorts and t-shirt, skinny body and huge kind eyes \u2013 this is our Misha.\u00a0 Two years ago his alcoholic mother was denied parental rights.\u00a0 The 12 year old boy was placed in an orphanage, 60 miles from home.\u00a0 Throughout these 2 years, Misha has run away 20 times from the orphanage and walked home on the highway \u2013 just to feed his mother\u2026 <\/em><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n Each time the police find him and return him to the orphanage.\u00a0 Sometimes the boy steals or tries to make some money, all for his mother.\u00a0 He says that he loves her very much and cannot live so far away.\u00a0 On the money, somehow earned, he buys groceries and takes it to his mother.\u00a0 To an apartment full of smoke and a mother who is always drunk.<\/em><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n He takes a pot, fills it with water, and peals some potatoes.\u00a0 Makes soup, washes the floor and dishes.\u00a0 Then he sits his mother at the table and helps her eat her dinner.\u00a0 Misha, crying, asks her not to drink anymore.\u00a0 His mother ignores him, just as constantly as he takes care of her. \u201cIt\u2019s all my fault,\u201d the boy says.\u00a0 \u201cI got into the wrong group of friends, started running away from home.\u00a0 That\u2019s why I was taken to an orphanage.\u00a0 It\u2019s great there, we go fishing, swimming.\u00a0 But I want to be close to my mother and I know she wants that too\u2026\u201d<\/em><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n ?<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":" Take a look at the lives of street children in Russia.
