\"\"<\/a>Months of planning had come down to May 14th, the first day with the kids from the transit center. Naturally nerves were there but so was the Holy Spirit. We were warned by one of our translators, Masha, that the kids would be shy and we naturally thought that they would take a while to warm up to us, but this was not the case. The day was blessed with plenty of laughter and games. In our small groups the kids really opened up about what they liked about the day.\u00a0\u00a0 We were so thrilled with their responses. When we debriefed later in the day, we all felt optimistic about the days to come. The Lord has continually blessed us throughout this experience in Russia.<\/p>\n

\"\"<\/a>Something that we are continually reminded of during these weeks is that nothing goes perfectly to our plan but it does for Gods. The kids really enjoy the skits about the \u201cOlympics of Life\u201d and the themes of the day. When split into the small groups, the kids are asked about the skit and the theme of the day. Following this a different member each day shares a portion of their testimony that goes along with the theme. The responsiveness of the kids has been incredible. The kids give thoughtful, intelligent answers to our questions. There are already relationships being build and doors opening and its only the third day of the camp. \"\"<\/a>The boys have been playing sports and loving every minute. Along with making bracelets, we taught the girls how to line dance to country music and in exchange they taught us a Russian dance which was such a good bonding time. The younger children have been making crafts and hearing stories, one in particular, David and Goliath. The joy on these kid\u2019s faces as we spend time with them is a priceless gift.\u00a0\u00a0 We can slowly see walls being torn down. The stories of these kids are unbelievable and we\u2019ve never seen such a need for Jesus and for hope.<\/p>\n

\"\"<\/a>We hope to change these kids lives as much as they are changing ours. We want them to feel the love Jesus has shown us. We want them to gain the hope, peace and purpose that comes along with following Jesus. We are ordinary people but God can use us in extraordinary ways. Pray for strength for our team. It is definitely a tiring experience but so worth it. Pray for the kids hearts to be open to the gospel and that seeds would be planted and hope given. \"\"<\/a>Thank you so much for all the support. Everyone is doing great and you will be hearing back from us soon.<\/p>\n
